Though names are said to have effect on the lives of persons, it is not yet proven that names of countries play a major role in their fortunes or misfortunes.
Speaking on Okay Fm’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, George Boateng indicated that changing the name Ghana back to Gold Coast will transform the economic fortunes of the country because the old name carries blessings.
“…when I become President, I will change Ghana to Gold Coast, the land of gold. This is because the name carries blessings to transform the country again back to its old state, as it used to be a paradise; that’s what I will do...if you travel outside, the white people still refer to us as Gold Coast,” he explained.
Outlining his ambition, George Boateng mentioned that all galamsey operators will be unionized to form one industry to take care of the gold by turning them into finished products so that raw gold will no longer be exported.
He is certain that under his presidency, Ghana will look more beautiful and attract more investors than Dubai.
Stating the reason for the harsh criticism of his party [NDC], Mr. George Boateng said the NDC should not be increasing fuel prices and doctors should not be going on strikes for poor people to die under the governance of the NDC.
He insisted the National Health Insurance Scheme should be operational everywhere under President John Mahama as it is gradually fading instead of making it national for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
He therefore implored Ghanaians for their support in his quest to become the NDC’s flagbearer and subsequently, win the 2016 elections to become President of Ghana; pontificating that “I am here to save Ghanaians from hardship and slavery to paradise.” Source: peacefmonline.com
