Coach of the 2014/15 First Capital Plus Premier league Champions Bashiru Hayford has disclosed his team Ashgold Paid GHS 1000 to spiritual men in every league game they played in the 2013/14 Ghana league season.
Ashgold who in recent years has come close in winning the Ghanaian elite club competition missed the trophy to Kumasi Asante Kotoko last season. Coach of the side Bashir Hayford has come under severe criticism by a section of the local media labeling him as a coach with bad history in second rounds of the Ghanaian league.
A divided section of Ghanaian football experts had doubts of the Ashgold team led by Bashir winning the 2014/15 premier league but the former Kessben FC trainer proved his critics wrong on Sunday by beaten WAFA at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium to be declared winners of the league with a game to go.
Bashiru Speaking in a telephone interview with Kumasi based Nhyira FM on Monday revealed Changes he in collaboration with the management of Ashgold ensured before coming this far. According to the Coach the team was giving out money to spiritual men before every game in the previous season which resulted to nothing.
