C.P.P Needs A General Secretary Who Bears The Characteristics Of Nkrumah And I Am The Person- Kabila.

James Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr, also called Kabila, has likened his political capabilities to that of the superior leadership qualities of Ghana's First President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Making his submissions on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", the Convention People's Party (CPP) General Secretary Aspirant, urged his delegates to elect leaders who bear the characteristics of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in order to revamp the CPP. According to him, when elected General Secretary of the CPP, he will entirely devote his time and energy to the service of the party. To him, he does not aspire to be General Secretary "to work as part time General Secretary. I’m going to be a full-time General Secretary and that’s what the party needs today. Unlike UGCC, during its establishment; one particular problem they had was that all the leaders were engaging in politics under vocation – part time – They were engaged in business in their practice at the court and so forth. This is why they saw that they needed somebody who is, dynamic, vibrant and energetic…And they brought in Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. You need somebody with that characteristic to head the Secretariat of the party.” In his concluding remarks, the CPP Aspirant believed the party Congress "will be a contest between choosing those who will rebuild the party or those who will further disintegrate the party. Factionalism, divisiveness is not an option.” Source: peacefmonline.com

My Husband Told Me His Marriage With Kyeiwaa Was A Movie.

Florence Kyei, rival mistress to popular Ghanaian actress, Rose Mensah, a.k.a, Kyeiwaa, says she is least disturbed about her husband going in for a second wife. She told Kasapa FM on Monday that when she got to know about the news and confronted her husband, Daniel Osei, a.k.a. Akwasi Bronya, for marrying another woman without her notice, the man at the center of the controversy told her that his engagement with Kyeiwaa was a movie. “When he came home, he apologized to me saying that, it was a movie they shot and least expected that it will turn out this way. That is what he told me. I believed him because when one gets married, that same day, the couple will spend some time together but in the case of my husband, he came home and we both slept together till the next day,” she noted. When pushed further to substantiate her claim, she said “I know they got married but that is not news to me.” The Suame Magazine Spare Parts dealer further told Broni that she got to know about the marriage between her husband whom she’s been engaged with for the past twenty years and Kyeiwaa through a family source. Florence Kyei was admitted at the Suame Hospital in Kumasi when she received the news that her husband had tied the knot with actress Kyeiwaa. The actress got married to Bronya on Sunday in a ceremony attended by colleague actors, friends and family relations. Source: peacefmonline.com

I Will Change Ghana's Name Back To Gold Coast.... N.D.C Prez Aspirant.

Though names are said to have effect on the lives of persons, it is not yet proven that names of countries play a major role in their fortunes or misfortunes. Speaking on Okay Fm’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, George Boateng indicated that changing the name Ghana back to Gold Coast will transform the economic fortunes of the country because the old name carries blessings. “…when I become President, I will change Ghana to Gold Coast, the land of gold. This is because the name carries blessings to transform the country again back to its old state, as it used to be a paradise; that’s what I will do...if you travel outside, the white people still refer to us as Gold Coast,” he explained. Outlining his ambition, George Boateng mentioned that all galamsey operators will be unionized to form one industry to take care of the gold by turning them into finished products so that raw gold will no longer be exported. He is certain that under his presidency, Ghana will look more beautiful and attract more investors than Dubai. Stating the reason for the harsh criticism of his party [NDC], Mr. George Boateng said the NDC should not be increasing fuel prices and doctors should not be going on strikes for poor people to die under the governance of the NDC. He insisted the National Health Insurance Scheme should be operational everywhere under President John Mahama as it is gradually fading instead of making it national for the benefit of all Ghanaians. He therefore implored Ghanaians for their support in his quest to become the NDC’s flagbearer and subsequently, win the 2016 elections to become President of Ghana; pontificating that “I am here to save Ghanaians from hardship and slavery to paradise.” Source: peacefmonline.com

Contempt Scare Won't Stop The Momentum To Clean Judiciary- Kwaku Baako

Senior journalist Abdul Malik Kweku Baako says he is not worried at all by an avalanche of contempt suits in the wake of the screening of a video detailing judicial bribery.

He said when the noises die down, Ghana would be driven by the contents of the video to take steps that would make the state better.

A two-year investigative video compiled by journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas showing 34 judges allegedly taking bribes has shocked the nation and dominated media discussions for weeks.

Two of the 12 High Court judges accused of taking bribes have gone to the High Court challenging the legality of the audio-visual recordings.

Justices Paul Uuter Dery and Mustapha Habib Logoh say the recordings were done in violation of the right to privacy.

They want the court to declare that the ‘evidence’ cannot be used to institute any impeachment proceedings against them.

Justice Dery filed a separate application for interlocutory injunction seeking to stop the Accra International Conference Centre from allowing Anas to screen the video there.

Even though the injunction processes were served on managers of the Conference Centre, the screening came off as scheduled on September 22 and 23.

Justice Dery went back to court and cited the Manager of the conference centre amongst other for contempt.

His lawyer, Nii Kpakpo Samoa Addo, argued the serving of the injunction processes acted as an injunction.

He said the conduct of the managers of the centre scandalized the court and had the tendency to bring the delivery of justice into disrepute.

Speaking on the matter on Joy FM and MultiTV’s news analysis programme Newsfile, said the cases being brought to court will not dim the effect of the evidence collected by Anas.

He said the processes should be allowed and those cited must enjoy their constitutional right to presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

More soon.
