United Nations: Nominate And Vote Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo for the Nobel Peace Prize.

NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFO-ADDO IS THE ONLY UNIQUE AFRICAN AND GHANAIAN LEADER TO COME OUT BOLDLY BEFORE THE WHOLE WORLD TO DECLARE THAT "HE WILL NEVER COMPROMISE GHANAIAN BLOOD FOR THE PRESIDENCY"
This is an urgent move to bring to light the peace-loving nature of this individual, who, in defiance of all those who have painted him as an evil and war mongering leader, has, single-handedly, defused post-election tensions in Ghana, which, but for his timely instruction to his followers, would have erupted into a civil war of unimaginable atrocities. He chose the path of peace by challenging the election results at the Supreme Court and not by violence on the streets.

He must be commended for doing the right thing and exhibiting wisdom and political maturity as well as establishing a precedence, hitherto, alien to most African democracies (if they can be referred to as such) by condemning violence and challenge via the gun. By his decision to seek refuge in the courts of law, he set the example for other leaders to emulate. His decision saved millions of lives, the elderly, the striving youth, orphans, disabled (my son being one of them) and other vulnerable members of our beautiful Ghanaian society.

By his decision, he has also saved the day and avoided the huge cost of war and its toll on our ailing and failing economy. I doff my hat for this man and so must you !!! We, also, want to bring to bear on leaders, whose evil override their conscience and logic, that there is hope in constitutional rule; that the resolution of conflict violently brings nothing but death and destruction, shame and humiliation to the perpetrators and, eventually, they become nothing but rogues who are treated with utmost contempt. To warn all criminally-inclined minds that we want no war and no violence but rather the rule of law and not the rule of the gun...WE DESERVE NOTHING LESS AS GHANAIANS, AS AFRICANS AND AS HUMAN BEINGS!!!

Mahama will lose 2016 elections- Intelligence Unit.

John Mahama likely to be a one-term president, according to the EIU
Ghana’s major opposition party the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been highly tipped to win next year’s general elections, the latest report of the UK-based Economist Intelligence Unit states.

According to the EIU’s November edition, the elections will be close, but the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) will lose, despite the challenges bedeviling the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition now.

However, the report said the outcome of the elections is by “no means a foregone conclusion”.

It outlined the largest opposition party in Ghana needs to work around the clock to garner votes outside its stronghold while maintaining internal unity.

The EIU cited the politically-motivated murder of the Upper East regional chairman of the NPP Adams Mahama as one of the low points of the party in 2015, but highlighted the party was able to “show a more united front during its subsequent primary elections.”

The report noted the NDC will continue to enjoy strong support in the east and northern sectors of Ghana, owing to historical and tribal allegiances.

It went ahead to state that Greater Accra – a historical swing state – will be a key battle ground, but said the NDC government’s mishandling of the June 3 fire and flood disasters among others and subsequent efforts to avoid a repeat “by clearing slums could well cost its votes.”

The Unit also mentioned some of the indicators pointing to a one-term presidency for John Mahama include the poor handling of the economy, electricity and fuel shortages, high inflation and currency depreciation.

“A growing number of protests against the National Democratic Congress government’s management of the country are expected, particularly, in the capital and economic hub Accra disrupting business operations there,” the Unit predicted.

“These protests are expected to peak in the early part of the forecast period when the economy is at its weakest.”

The report said public anger in extreme cases, can snowball into mass action as seen in a number of Arab countries in recent years and closer to home in Burkina Faso in 2014.

John Mahama Poisoned John Evans Atta Mills.

mahama_mills
To many who were believing the shocking death of the former president John Evans Atta Mills was put to rest, news coming out from News Research Network [N.R.N], Toronto, Canada, is confirming that Mills was poisoned under the command and full glare supervision by his Chief Killer John Dramani Mahama.
John Evans Atta Mills personal security guard, who vanished into a nowhere destination forced the poisonous substance ‘Strychnine’ to the throat of Mills through his helpless mouth a lethal substance commonly used as a pesticide to kill large unwanted pests like rodents and birds. ‘One of the medical experts who had attended to Mills on that sad day has confirmed’.
News Research Network [N.R.N] will pursue this case to its end in the International Criminal Court [ICC] in the Hague-Netherlands. Some insiders from Mill’s family who are furious of that barbaric act of John Dramani Mahama has also confirmed this. This news trending is not new to the diplomatic corps based in Ghana. Consultations are at its peak to take John Dramani Mahama on.

NPP-Canada to President Mahama: Dr. Bawumia Will Have The Last Laugh.

NPP-Canada has learnt with disapppointment (but no surprise) the rather un-presidential remarks of President Mahama at an NDC Party rally at the Trade Fair Site in Accra on Monday, November 17, 2015.

The President’s remarks included the following:

“…All of you guys have never ever come near the Presidency before. You know what it means to be President? And you stand and say ‘incompetent Mahama administration’, 'Incompetent Mahama administration'. What do you know about competence..?"

The above remarks were obviously aimed at the respected Economist, former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, former Consultant to the Economic Commission of Africa, former Visiting Scholar at the University of British Columbia Center for Global Studies, Fellow at the International Growth Center (London), Former Advisor to the Central Bank of Sierra Leone, former Resident Representative of the African Development Bank in Zimbabwe: Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Ghana is no stranger to bad economic management. But the economic mismanagement under the Mahama Administration is the worst ever. Dr. Bawumia has been one of the leading critics of the government on its handling, better still mishandling of the economy. Dr. Bawumia has consequently become a source of irritation and embarrassment to the ruling government. Indeed, so damning has been the economic mismanagement of the Mahama Administration that Dr. Bawumia has attributed it to nothing short of sheer incompetence. It is this description that has so riled President Mahama (a Historian and Communicator by training) that he wasted no time in venting his anger and frustration on Dr. Bawumia.

According to President Mahama, only the two living former Presidents, Mr. J.A. Kufuor and Mr. J.J. Rawlings, have earned the right to comment on his competence or incompetence. Paradoxically, the Communications Expert turned-President added that all Ghanaians who can vote will be the ultimate judges of his incompetence! Go figure.

Time and again, the people of Ghana have heard Dr. Bawumia offer advice to the government. Such pieces of advice are first ridiculed, and then Dr. Bawumia called names, all at the hands of Mahama Administration officials and hordes of NDC Party communicators all of whom benefit from one kind of government largesse or the other. On the rare occasion, the government, on the quiet, will adopt the advice without a whisper of credit to Dr. Bawumia.

A case in point was in 2014. Within the first 6 months of that year, the cedi had lost 20% of its value against major international currencies. This caused the Ghanaian cedi to earn the unenviable tag of “the world’s worst performing currency”, having edged out currencies of Afghanistan, Syria and South Sudan. The panicking Government and the Bank of Ghana (BoG) announced immediate measures to stem the worsening tide. These measures included restrictions on withdrawals of more than $10,000 at the counter.

Dr. Bawumia was one of those who advised that not only was the measure counter-productive but that the significant cause of the problem had more to do with bad economic policies and practices that had led to loss of investor confidence in the Ghanaian economy, not to mention run-away corruption. When the depreciation of the cedi started worsening at an even more alarming rate following the implementation of the directive, the BoG with the blessing of the Mahama Administration quietly backed down on its earlier directive.

Ghanaians have seen too many of Dr. Bawumia’s economic advice to government go unheeded to their collective regret as a People. Ghanaians have also seen every single one of Dr. Bawumia’s predictions about the Ghanaian economy come true to their amazement.

Ghanaians have seen and known what competence is. And under the Mahama Administration, Ghanaians have tasted what competence is not.

At the appropriate time, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, running mate on the presidential ticket of the New Patriotic Party shall have the last laugh, courtesy of long-suffering Ghanaians.
